How to confirm playing squads

Review automatic tournament squads, customize an eligible selection before scoring preparation, and understand the separate save and clear workflow for standalone matches.

Matches & scoring
Open this tournament-action group, then choose Match center.
Published fixture
Open Matches and select the published match to open its command center. Playing squads belong to that match rather than the tournament-wide auction roster.
Playing squads and Full page
Choose Playing squads in the match command center to see both team selectors. Choose Full page for the complete squad page. The same command center opens when you select a match on a phone. Both match participants must be resolved before their squads are available.
After this step
The scheduled tournament match opens with both automatic team rosters visible.
2Check the automatic roster and minimumReview the full selected roster and the minimum allowed for this match.
Automatic team roster
A scheduled tournament match starts with the complete eligible team roster saved automatically. Review it first. You do not need to confirm the same full roster again to make it available for scoring.
Minimum players
You may keep the whole roster or save a smaller selection that still meets the displayed minimum. More than the minimum is allowed.
Cricket — Normally requires at least two players. A tournament configured for one player per team permits one. This example has three eligible players and a minimum of two.
Football — Uses the saved match format's minimum-player requirement. The playing squad may also include substitutes. The scorer chooses the starting lineup separately.
Eligible roster
Only eligible players already assigned to this team appear here. In a registration and auction tournament, the team remains provisional until its sold roster reaches the configured team size. Complete that roster before saving a match squad. Saving a squad does not move or recreate a roster player.
Search and roster pages
Search by player name, role or jersey number. Clear roster search restores the list without changing your selections. Larger rosters have previous and next page controls, so review every page before saving.
After this step
Both teams show automatic squads and the first selector shows its full three-player roster with a minimum of two.
3Customize a squad before scoring preparationKeep the full roster or choose a lawful subset before preparing the scoring device.
Player control
All eligible roster players start selected for an automatic squad. Select a checked player to remove that player from the draft. Select them again to restore them. For this three-player cricket roster, keeping two satisfies the minimum.
Below the minimum
The status explains how many more players are needed and Save squad is disabled. Add eligible players until the selection meets the minimum. You may continue adding players up to the full team roster.
Before saving
Changes are local until Save squad succeeds. Customize while the match is scheduled and before a scorer prepares a device or any match-specific Fantasy team or contest uses the squad. A scheduled label alone does not guarantee that saving is still allowed.
After this step
The first team's draft contains two eligible players and is ready to save without changing its roster.
4Save and verify a customized squadSave an eligible selection and verify the saved notice and squad status.
Save squad
Choose this team's Save squad button after reviewing the selected count. Saving squad appears while the request is in progress. Wait for Playing squad saved and check the players after the page reloads.
Server checks
Saving checks your organizer access, the scheduled match, resolved team, complete auction roster where required, minimum count and each player's eligibility. Existing scoring preparation or match-specific Fantasy use blocks the save.
Customized squad
A tournament subset shows Customized squad after saving. Later automatic roster updates do not silently replace this deliberate selection. Reopen the match squad to verify who is included.
Recover from a rejected save
Read the error above the roster. Your draft remains available. If a player is no longer eligible, use Review to find that player, remove them and select a replacement. If scoring preparation or Fantasy has locked the squad, return to the match and use its saved squad instead of repeating the save.
After this step
The first team's saved two-player subset shows Playing squad saved and Customized squad.
5Review the other team and restore automatic selectionCheck each team separately and understand how to restore the full tournament roster.
Independent team saves
Each team has its own form. Review its selected players and status independently. Save one team at a time and check the reloaded page before editing the other team.
Keep the automatic roster
Automatic team roster already represents a saved match squad. Leave it as it is when the full roster should be available. Both teams still need enough eligible players for their sport.
Restore automatic selection
Before scoring preparation or Fantasy use, reselect every eligible player in a customized tournament squad and choose Save squad. After Playing squad saved, check that the status is Automatic team roster. This restores automatic roster updates while the match remains eligible.
After this step
The first team's full roster is saved and returns to Automatic team roster. The second team's automatic roster remains unchanged.
6Save or clear a standalone match squadTournament squads cannot be cleared. Standalone matches have their own explicit save and clear controls.
Tournament squads
There is no Clear standalone squad action on a tournament match. Keep the automatic full roster or save a lawful subset while editing is allowed. A tournament squad cannot be cleared into an unconfirmed empty state.
Save a standalone squad
Open the standalone match's Playing squads page. If its status is Not confirmed, the full roster is only a starting selection. Review it, keep at least the displayed minimum and choose Save squad for each team. Wait for Playing squad saved. Standalone saves remain explicit selections and show Customized squad even when every player is selected.
Clear standalone squad
For a saved standalone squad in a scheduled match, choose Clear standalone squad for the correct team. Read Clear individual-match squad? before deciding. Clear only when the selection really needs to be removed, and do preparation changes before opening the scorer or creating match-specific Fantasy entries so a replacement squad can still be saved.
Dialog choices
The confirmation concerns one team's saved selection for this individual match.
Clear squad — Removes the saved match selection and preserves the player accounts and team roster. Wait for Playing squad cleared. The team returns to Not confirmed with the full roster selected as a draft. Save a valid replacement before scoring.
Cancel — Closes the dialog without changing the saved squad.
After this step
The standalone clear dialog is cancelled once, then the first team is cleared and its full four-player squad is explicitly saved again. Both standalone squads remain saved.

Expected result

Both teams have the intended saved match squads while their team rosters and player accounts are preserved.
