How to confirm playing squads

Select the exact playing squad for both teams, save each confirmation, and understand when a confirmed squad can be cleared safely.

1Open playing-squad managementFind the synthetic tournament and open the match's full playing-squad page.
Organizer dashboard
Search for the exact synthetic tournament so the correct card is visible in the bounded tournament list.
Matches & scoring
Open this tournament-action group, then choose Match center.
Published fixture
Playing squads belong to a specific published match, not to the tournament-wide auction roster.

The synthetic scheduled match opens on its full playing-squad page.
2Check the required countEach team must reach the exact squad count before Confirm is enabled.
Exact count
The save action accepts only the exact configured count. A smaller, larger, or duplicated selection is rejected again by the server.
How the count is chosen
The rule follows the match sport and its saved settings.
Cricket — Uses Total players/team from Auction Settings when valid, with eleven as the screen fallback.
Football — Uses the saved format's lawful minimum-player requirement, bounded by the selected side size.
Eligible roster
Only sold players already belonging to that tournament team appear here. Confirming a squad does not move or recreate a roster player.
Search
Filters the current team by player name, role, or jersey number without changing the selection.
After this step
Both team selectors show three more players needed in the safe tutorial fixture.
3Select the first squadChoose three players for the first team and stop at the exact target.
Player control
Select adds that roster player to this match squad. Selecting the checked player again removes only this draft choice.
At the target
Selected players remain editable, but other player controls are disabled so the squad cannot silently exceed the required count.
Before saving
The choices are local to this screen until Confirm is selected and the server accepts them.
After this step
The first team shows three selected and is ready to confirm.
4Confirm the first squadSave the exact selection and wait for the confirmation message.
Confirm
Submits only this team's selected player IDs and stays disabled unless the visible selection equals the required count.
Server checks
The server checks organizer access, scheduled match state, team participation, exact count, unique player IDs, and sold-roster membership before saving.
Saved confirmation
Treat Playing squad confirmed as the completion signal. Do not assume success only because the button was selected.
After this step
The first team's saved squad is confirmed and visible after the page reload.
5Confirm the second squadRepeat the exact-count check and save the other team's squad.
Independent team saves
Each team has its own form and confirmation. Saving one team does not submit or replace the other team's choices.
Same exact-count rule
The second team must satisfy the same configured count and roster-membership checks.
Persisted result
After the second reload, both sections show Confirmed and retain their selected players.
After this step
Both teams show confirmed squads of exactly three players.
6Understand safe clearingReview the clear confirmation, then cancel so both saved squads remain intact.
Clear confirmed squad
Deletes this team's saved selection for this match only, after an explicit confirmation.
Data preserved
The tournament team and auction roster are not deleted or reassigned by clearing a playing squad.
When changes are allowed
Squads can be selected, replaced, or cleared only while the match status is Scheduled. Later match states lock this preparation step.
Dialog choices
Choose Clear squad only when the match selection must be removed. Choose Cancel to keep the persisted squad, as this tutorial does.
Clear squad — Removes this match's confirmed selection and preserves the auction roster.
Cancel — Closes the dialog without changing the saved squad.
After this step
The clear dialog is cancelled and both confirmed squads remain unchanged.

Expected result

Both teams have an exactly sized confirmed playing squad, and no auction-roster player is removed.
