How to assign match scorers

Assign an existing Sports Fantasy account, understand Active and Available scorer states, and review safe takeover and removal rules.

1Open match scorer managementFind the synthetic tournament and open the match's full scorer-management page.
Organizer dashboard
Search for the exact synthetic tournament so the correct card is visible in the bounded tournament list.
Matches & scoring
Open this tournament-action group, then choose Match center.
Published fixture
Match-specific squad and scorer actions are attached to each published match.
Scorers and Full page
The quick action gives a compact preview. Full page opens the complete match-specific assignment view used in this tutorial.
After this step
The synthetic scheduled match opens on its full scorer-management page.
2Review scorer accessAssignment grants match access; it does not automatically move scoring control.
Existing account only
The person must already have an active Sports Fantasy profile; an unknown or inactive contact is rejected.
Accepted identifier
Use one exact account identifier.
Email: Enter the full email address saved on the active account; letter case is normalized.
Mobile: Enter the complete registered mobile number; the data layer normalizes it before matching.
Assignment versus control
Assignment makes the scorer eligible to work on the match. It does not by itself transfer the server-authoritative scoring session.
After this step
The current assignment is visible as Active before another scorer is added.
3Assign an existing accountEnter the safe demonstration mobile number and save the scorer assignment.
Account email or mobile
Required. Enter a full registered email or mobile number, not a display name or partial search.
Privacy
This tutorial uses a reserved synthetic account and masks the entered identifier in the recording. Never place a real participant's contact in tutorial configuration.
Assign scorer
Checks organizer authority, match eligibility, and active-account ownership before saving or restoring the assignment.
Saved confirmation
The success notification is the reliable signal that the persisted assignment has been reloaded.
After this step
The reserved Tutorial Scorer account is assigned and a saved confirmation appears.
4Active and AvailableActive owns scoring now; Available is assigned and ready for a handover.
Scorer states
The status chip shows who has authority now and who is standing by.
Active: Currently owns the server-authoritative scoring session and is the only scorer allowed to publish live events.
Available: Has scorer access and is ready to receive control, but does not displace the Active scorer merely by being assigned.
One active scorer
Only one scorer and device publishes at a time, which prevents two devices from advancing the live score independently.
Assignment count
Counts everyone currently assigned as Active or Available, not only the person controlling scoring.
After this step
One Active scorer and one Available scorer are shown.
5Understand scorer-side takeoverAn assigned scorer takes control from their own scorer workspace after an explicit warning.
Assigned scorer
Only an account with scorer access can open the scorer workspace and attempt to take control.
Scorer-initiated action
The Available scorer chooses Take scoring on this device from their own match workspace; organizers do not transfer device ownership from this assignment page.
Explicit warning
A confirmed takeover immediately revokes the old device. Unsynchronised events from that device are blocked and may need reconstruction with match officials.
Online and deliberate
Takeover requires an internet connection. This tutorial explains the safeguard without performing it, so the original scorer stays Active.
After this step
The scorer-side takeover safeguards are understood while the original Active scorer keeps control.
6Understand safe removalActive removal is blocked; removing Available match access asks for confirmation and preserves audit history.
Active scorer
Removal is disabled while this person owns an available scoring session; another assigned scorer must take control first, or the match must be cancelled or reset.
Available scorer
Can be removed after an explicit confirmation because removing access does not need a control handover.
Data preserved
Removing scorer access does not erase score events; existing scoring activity remains in the audit history.
Confirmation choices
Use Remove match access only when this assignment should end; use Cancel to keep it, as this tutorial does.
Remove match access: Revokes this Available assignment while retaining existing scoring audit records.
Cancel: Closes the confirmation without changing scorer access.
After this step
The Available-scorer removal dialog is cancelled and both assignments remain unchanged.

Expected result

A safe existing demonstration account is assigned as an Available scorer while the original Active scorer keeps control.
