How to create an individual match

Create a cricket match, choose two verified squads, and open the scoring setup.

1Open individual match setupOpen Start Match from the Organizer dashboard's account and workspace menu.
Account and workspace menu
Open this menu from any authenticated workspace to reach the shared Start Match action.
Start Match
Creates a private individual match for verified participants. It does not add a fixture to an organizer tournament.
Cricket or football
The next screen changes its format and minimum-squad rules according to the selected sport.
After this step
The private individual-match setup opens from the real organizer landing page.
2Match detailsEnter the match name, playing time, format, and venue.
Match name
Required and limited to 120 characters.
Sport
Chooses the match rules and the minimum squad size enforced later.
Cricket — Shows Overs per innings and requires at least two verified players per team. This tutorial uses Cricket.
Football — Shows a football-format choice and uses that format's minimum players.
First playing date & time
Required. Choose a future Asia/Kolkata date and time. The picker uses 30-minute time steps.
Match format
The visible format control changes with the selected sport.
Cricket overs — Enter a whole number from 1 to 100. The tutorial uses 10 overs per innings.
Standard football — Uses the read-only 11-a-side preset.
Short football — Uses the read-only 7-a-side preset.
Custom football — Lets the creator set side size, minimum players, periods, timings, draw/extra-time/penalty rules, and substitutions.
Venue
Optional and limited to 160 characters.
After this step
The cricket match details are complete.
3Team detailsName both teams and add yourself to a playing squad if you are playing.
Team 1 and Team 2 names
Both are required, limited to 80 characters, and must be different even when letter case differs.
Are you playing?
The creator always owns and scores the match, whether or not they join a squad.
Add me to Team 1 — Adds the creator to Team 1. This is the tutorial choice.
Add me to Team 2 — Adds or moves the creator to Team 2.
Neither team — Leave both buttons unselected, or select the active team again to remove the creator from play.
After this step
Both teams are named and the creator is in Team 1.
4Player detailsReuse safe, previously verified demo players for both squads.
Previously verified by you
Trusted accounts can be selected again without asking the player to repeat verification. Each account is checked before it is added.
Batch selection
Select available players individually or all at once, then add the selected group to Team 1 or Team 2. Up to 20 can be selected in one batch.
Registered-player search
The team pickers also search by the start of a registered name or by a full registered mobile number or email.
Exact registered contact — A full matching mobile number or email can be added directly after the secure server check.
Name result — Confirm the private last four registered mobile digits before adding the account.
New mobile identity — Use the OTP path only when the mobile identity is genuinely new.
Squad rules
A player can belong to only one team. This cricket workflow needs at least two verified players per team. The creator counts when added.
Remove from team
Removes an assigned player from that draft squad so they can be reassigned before final creation.
After this step
Team 1 has the creator and one demo player. Team 2 has two demo players.
5Review and finishReview the match and squads, persist them, and confirm the scoring setup gate.
Match summary
Check the name, playing time, sport, format, and optional venue.
Teams & players
Check both distinct team names, squad counts, every selected player, and whether the creator is playing.
Review controls
Correct a section or create the persisted match.
Change or Edit teams/players — Returns to that step while retaining the rest of the draft.
Finish & open scoring — Runs final validation, creates the private match, and opens scoring preparation.
Persisted result
Creation saves the private match, its two teams, verified participant memberships, confirmed squads, and creator scorer access before redirecting.
Scoring gate
Ready to score means this device owns control. Cricket still needs toss and opening-player setup. Football needs lineups, designated goalkeepers, and kickoff.
After this step
Tutorial Community Match is persisted and its ready-to-score setup guide opens without starting play.

Expected result

A private individual cricket match is created and the scoring preparation guide opens.
