How to share a match and use spoken score controls

Share the public scorecard from the scorer workspace and control spoken commentary or a one-time score announcement.

1Open the match you want to shareSelect the assigned match in Scorer dashboard or open its scorer page.
Share match
Use the Share match icon in the selected dashboard match summary or the match header. On a narrow screen, the icon has the same accessible name even when its text is hidden.
Share the scorecard
The dialog shares the public scorecard destination for that match. Check the intended teams and match before sharing. It does not grant scoring or broadcaster control.
After this step
Select the assigned match in Scorer dashboard or open its scorer page.
2Choose how to share the scorecardIn Share scorecard, choose the option supported on this device.
Share options
The same dialog is used for cricket and football.
WhatsApp — Open WhatsApp with the match text and scorecard link prepared. Choose the intended recipient and send only when ready.
Share — Open the device's native share sheet when available. If native sharing is unavailable or fails, the app attempts to copy the link.
Copy link — Copy the public match link to the clipboard, then paste it into the conversation or document where you want to share it.
Cancel native sharing — Close the device share sheet if you do not want to send. Cancellation does not mean a message was sent.
Unavailable link or clipboard — Read the feedback. The app reports unavailable sharing or copying instead of a success. Try a supported method or device.
Wait and check — Wait while a share action is busy. Match shared or Match link copied confirms the corresponding action, not that every recipient has opened it.
After this step
In Share scorecard, choose the option supported on this device.
3Close sharing and return to scoringClose Share scorecard to return to the selected match.
Keep the destination clear
A scorecard link is for viewing the match. Do not send your scorer workspace URL or a protected broadcast source URL in place of the scorecard.
Continue scoring
Check the score and ownership state before entering another event. Sharing does not transfer scoring control.
After this step
Close Share scorecard to return to the selected match.
4Turn spoken commentary on, off, or resume itUse Commentary on a supported scoring surface to hear updates as match events occur.
Commentary states
The control's accessible name describes the next action.
Turn on spoken commentary — Start commentary with a user gesture and wait while it starts.
Turn off spoken commentary — Disable ongoing commentary for this match.
Resume commentary — When commentary is paused by playback conditions, choose Resume to resume it. The separate Turn off commentary action is also available.
Loading or restoring — Wait for the saved setting to load and playback to initialize before pressing again.
Preference could not save — Read the warning and check the control when returning. Do not assume a failed preference save will persist.
Match sound muted — Muted match audio can affect continuous playback. Use the visible sound controls and current state rather than assuming the device volume alone enables it.
After this step
Use Commentary on a supported scoring surface to hear updates as match events occur.
5Announce the current score or final result onceUse Score or Result to request a one-time spoken summary.
Readout controls
The accessible names are Tell current score and Tell match result.
Score — Request the current score while play is in progress.
Result — Request the final result when the result readout is available.
Wait — Another match sound may be playing, or the announcement may still be running. Wait before trying again.
Done — The requested summary has played. A one-time announcement can leave other match sounds muted.
Retry or unavailable — If spoken audio is unavailable, read the visible score or result. The text remains available to assistive technology.
Check the saved score
Spoken commentary and readouts explain the current match state. Always review the scorecard and synchronization status when confirming a scoring change.

Use Score or Result to request a one-time spoken summary.
