1Open the auction control roomFrom the Organizer dashboard, open Manage, Auction & presentation, and Auction room.
Before selecting a player
The same auction workflow supports cricket and football.
Prepared auction — Save auction settings, teams, owners, player registrations, and valid bid rules. Move the tournament to Auction when ready so registration closes before the live session begins.
Start Auction — In Auction Room choose Start Auction, shown as Start on compact screens. Review Start the auction now? and confirm only when the checks are satisfied.
Open Live Auction — If the auction already started, choose Open Live Auction or Live. Wait for your tab's connection to be admitted before using organizer controls.
Readiness failure — Fix missing or duplicate teams, invalid purses or prices, player shortages, category shortages, or existing conflicting progress identified by the screen. A blocked start has not started a new auction.
Audience and mobile layout — Player viewers use a read-only mirror. On a phone the pool and bidding controls stack and the team rail can scroll horizontally. Use the same named controls without relying on desktop placement.
After this step
From the Organizer dashboard, open Manage, Auction & presentation, and Auction room.
2Check the auction format and category rulesConfirm the format in Auction settings before bidding begins.
Auction format
Category setup controls which rosters can be completed.
Open — one category — Use exactly one registration category. Every roster is filled from that category, subject to each team's overall player limit.
Open — multiple categories — Use at least two categories. Teams can choose any category mix within the overall player limit. There is no required category quota for each team.
Closed — multiple categories — Use at least two categories and set positive Required players per team for each one. The quotas must total the team player limit. Each category needs enough eligible registered or approved players to fill every team.
Category names and available players — Use Edit tournament categories when registration categories need correction. Review the available player counts before starting rather than lowering a quota to hide a shortage.
Base price and minimum increment — Review each category's Base price and Min bid increment. Team wallet and maximum bid must support the intended bidding and remaining roster requirements.
Full team or category — Choose another eligible team when its overall player limit or closed-category quota is full. The server checks this again when saving the result.
After this step
Confirm the format in Auction settings before bidding begins.
3Select the next eligible playerResolve the active player before choosing another one.
Eligible player pool
Review the current saved pool and counts.
Search and category filter — Use Search players and All categories to narrow the visible pool. Clear a restrictive search or category when the expected player is not listed.
Select a named player — Use Select followed by the player's name on their card. Check the revealed player, category, and base price before bidding.
Select a random player — Use Random Player or the control named Select a random player. Wait through the live selection wheel and reveal. Use Skip intro when offered to shorten the presentation.
Random eligibility — The random draw uses eligible unprocessed players. A search helps find a named player but should not be treated as a promise that random selection will choose a visible search result.
No eligible players — Review Players left and Unsold, clear filters, and check whether players were already processed. Recall unsold players when appropriate instead of repeatedly attempting an empty draw.
Player already active — Complete or cancel the current selection first. Another operator may have advanced the auction, so refresh and review the latest player if your selection is rejected.
After this step
Resolve the active player before choosing another one.
4Bid, sell, skip, or cancel the current playerCheck the player, team, and amount before every saved result.
Current player controls
Wait for each action to finish and confirm the visible result.
Bidding team — Choose Select bidding team or the intended team card in the rail. The card indicates the highest bidder and can place the next bid.
Bid amount — Use Increase bid or Decrease bid to change the amount using the displayed increment. Review the current bid, previous bid, team purse, and maximum permitted bid.
Send player to team — Choose Send player to team only after a valid bid and bidding team are recorded. Confirm the saved sale, updated team purse, and roster count before moving on.
Skip player as unsold — Choose Skip player as unsold. Review the player in the Skip confirmation, then choose Skip as unsold. Cancel keeps the current round open.
Cancel selected player — Use Cancel selected player to close the current selection without recording a sold or unsold result. The player returns to the eligible pool.
Save failure or changed state — Read the action result. If another browser changed the round, refresh and review the saved player and bid before retrying. An animation or button click is not proof of a saved sale.
Keyboard controls — When the console has focus and you are not editing a field, Space selects a random player. Plus, minus, Arrow Up, and Arrow Down adjust bids. Arrow Left and Arrow Right move between teams. S sells and U starts the unsold action. Review the current state before using a shortcut.
After this step
Check the player, team, and amount before every saved result.
5Bring unsold players into another roundRecall unsold players when you want to offer them again.
Recall unsold players
The control appears when unsold players are available.
Review the count — Check Unsold and resolve any active player before starting another round.
Open the confirmation — Choose Recall unsold players. Review the confirmation and the number to be recalled.
Recall or cancel — Choose Recall with the displayed count and wait through Recalling. Cancel keeps the unsold pool unchanged.
Result of recall — Recalled unsold players return to the eligible pool. Sold team assignments remain unchanged. Verify the refreshed eligible and unsold counts before selecting again.
Control connection required — If the organizer connection has expired or access is lost, reopen the live control room and regain admission before retrying. An audience tab cannot recall players.
After this step
Recall unsold players when you want to offer them again.
6Review team rosters and return a sold player only when allowedUse the Auction Room roster to check assignments and correct an eligible return.
Auction Room results
Close the live control room to return to the Auction Room.
Team purses and roster — Review selected players, remaining slots, amount spent, and purse remaining. Open the team or roster full-screen view when you need more room.
Find a player — Search by player, team, category, or T-shirt text. Use Team, Category, and Status filters together, Clear filters to reset them, and Show more for further results.
Return to pool — For an eligible assigned player, choose Return to pool and review Return this player. Confirm the named return or choose Keep player to retain the assignment.
Return restrictions — A player used in a manual match squad may need removal from that squad first. A started match or locked match Fantasy squad can block the return. Follow the stated restriction.
Verify the return — After a saved return, check the team counts, purse, and eligible player pool. Returning a sold player is different from recalling unsold players.
After this step
Use the Auction Room roster to check assignments and correct an eligible return.
7Finalize only after reviewing complete rostersUse the readiness summary to decide whether the auction can be completed.
Finalize auction
Finalization makes the competition auction results read-only.
Required rosters — Fill every required team slot and each closed-category quota. Check the remaining slots and unsold counts in the readiness summary.
Unresolved active round — Resolve the current player and unfinished bid before finalizing. Also correct duplicate assignments or invalid saved settings if identified.
Review the confirmation — Choose Finalize auction when Ready to finalize is shown. Review the final totals and roster consequences before confirming.
Saved final results — Wait for Final auction results and confirm the final team assignments, sold and unsold totals, spend, and remaining purse. Completed results cannot be edited as a live auction.
Failed finalization — Read the blocking reason and reload the authoritative state if another operator acted. Do not treat a failed confirmation as a completed auction.
After this step
Use the readiness summary to decide whether the auction can be completed.

Expected result

Use the correct auction format, select and resolve players, recall unsold players, and review saved team rosters before finalization.
