How to run and finalize a live auction

Start a prepared auction, sell two named players into complete one-player rosters, and permanently finalize the exact result.

1Open the prepared Auction RoomFind the prepared tournament on the Organizer dashboard, open Manage, and choose Auction room.
Search tournaments
Use the prepared tournament name to isolate the exact synthetic tutorial record.
Manage
Opens grouped actions for the selected tournament.
Auction room
Opens the prepared lifecycle screen; starting remains a separate confirmed action.
Safe prewarm
Only this read-only navigation is prewarmed. No session, bid, assignment, or finalization is created.
After this step
The prepared tournament's Auction Room opens without starting or changing the auction.
2Start the prepared auctionStarting opens live controls after rechecking teams, players, purses, and clean auction state.
Prepared state
Registration is closed, auction status is live, auction started is false, and no player, bid, round, assignment, or processed result exists.
Readiness checks
Start is blocked by player or category shortages, invalid prices, unaffordable teams, assigned players, or existing live progress.
Start consequence
Confirmation creates or opens the clean live session, marks the auction started, and redirects into organizer controls.
Responsive header
Desktop labels the trigger Start Auction; compact mobile shows Start while retaining the same confirmation.
After this step
The Start Auction confirmation is displayed for the prepared tournament without any prior live session or progress.
3Understand the live consoleChoose the named players manually so both recordings produce the same result.
Manual Select
Starts a round for the exact named eligible registration.
Player identity
The public jersey label is backed by a valid tournament registration and player profile link.
Random select
Chooses from all eligible unprocessed registrations and is intentionally not used in this repeatable flow.
Responsive layout
Desktop uses a wide pool and bid wings; mobile uses four pool columns, stacked bid cards, and a horizontal team rail.
After this step
The live console is open and Aarav Sharma is available for manual selection.
4Put Aarav on the blockSelecting Aarav creates the only active round.
Cancel
Closes the current selection without a result and returns the player to the pool.
Skip
Records an unsold result for later recall; it is not used in this exact two-sale flow.
Send
Completes a sale only after a valid current bid exists.

Aarav Sharma is the current player and the bidding controls are ready.
5Bid for AaravCoastal opens at 50,000 and Metro leads at 60,000.
Opening bid
The first team chip records the configured 50,000 base price.
Next bid
The second chip changes the leader and adds exactly the configured 10,000 increment.
Bid safeguards
The server rejects bids above max bid or purse, bids by full teams, and bids that violate roster reserve.
After this step
Metro Strikers leads Aarav Sharma at 60,000 after one 10,000 increment.
6Send Aarav to MetroSend persists the leading Metro bid and first roster assignment.
Winning bid
Metro Strikers and 60,000 are persisted before Aarav is considered sold.
Immediate reconciliation
The player pool, Metro roster, purse, and remaining slot count update together.
Finalization remains blocked
Coastal Kings still needs one player and Kabir remains unprocessed.

Two sold, zero unsold, 110,000 spend, 890,000 remaining purse, assignments, and clean active state are recalculated from persisted data.

9Review finalization readinessFinalize only when every roster and integrity check passes.

Both teams contain exactly one sold player.

The 60,000 and 50,000 winning prices respect base, increment, max bid, and purse rules.

Completed lifecycle
Auction status is completed, registration is closed, auction started is false, and current player, current bid, and bid history are cleared.
