How to run and finalize a live auction

Start an already-prepared auction, sell players into complete team rosters, then review and permanently finalize the results.

In this tutorial

1Open the prepared Auction RoomOpen tournament actions, then Auction & presentation and Auction room.
Search tournaments
Find your tournament by name and check that you are opening the intended live auction.
Tournament actions
Opens grouped actions for the selected tournament.
Auction room
Opens the prepared lifecycle screen. Starting remains a separate confirmed action.
Before starting
Check that the correct prepared auction is open. The live auction starts only after you confirm Start Auction.
After this step
The prepared tournament's Auction Room opens without starting or changing the auction.
2Start the prepared auctionStarting opens live controls after rechecking teams, players, purses, and clean auction state.
Prepared state
Move to Auction has already closed registration and prepared the tournament. The live auction has not started yet.
Readiness checks
Start is blocked by player or category shortages, invalid prices, unaffordable teams, assigned players, or existing live progress.
Start consequence
After the checks pass, confirming Start Auction opens the live organizer controls.
Responsive header
Desktop labels the trigger Start Auction. Compact mobile shows Start while retaining the same confirmation.
After this step
The Start Auction confirmation is displayed for the prepared tournament without any prior live session or progress.
3Understand the live consoleChoose the next eligible player and review the teams before opening bidding.
Manual Select
Starts a round for the exact named eligible registration.
Player identity
Check the name and category shown for the registered player before opening a round. The shirt print name is separate.
Random select
Chooses from the eligible players still waiting for a round. This example uses manual selection.
Responsive layout
Desktop uses a wide pool and bid wings. Mobile uses four pool columns, stacked bid cards, and a horizontal team rail.
After this step
The live console is open and Tutorial Player One is available for manual selection.
4Put Tutorial Player One on the blockSelecting Tutorial Player One creates the only active round.
Cancel
Closes the current selection without a result and returns the player to the pool.
Skip
Records an unsold result for later recall. It is not used in this exact two-sale flow.
Send
Completes a sale only after a valid current bid exists.
After this step
Tutorial Player One is the current player and the bidding controls are ready.
5Bid for Tutorial Player OneCoastal opens at 50,000 and Metro leads at 60,000.
Opening bid
The first team chip records the configured 50,000 base price.
Next bid
The second chip changes the leader and adds exactly the configured 10,000 increment.
Bid safeguards
The server rejects bids above max bid or purse, bids by full teams, and bids that violate roster reserve.
After this step
Metro Strikers leads Tutorial Player One at 60,000 after one 10,000 increment.
6Send Tutorial Player One to MetroSend saves the winning bid and adds the player to Metro Strikers.
Winning bid
Wait for the sale to save before moving to the next player. In the example, Tutorial Player One joins Metro Strikers for 60,000.
Updated team and purse
The player pool, Metro roster, purse, and remaining slot count update together.
Finalization remains blocked
Coastal Kings still needs one player and Tutorial Player Two remains unprocessed.
After this step
Tutorial Player One is sold to Metro Strikers for 60,000 and Tutorial Player Two remains available.
7Select Tutorial Player TwoThe remaining player can only be bought by the team with an open slot.
Available pool
Contains only eligible registrations that are not sold, skipped, or active.
Full-team protection
Metro Strikers cannot bid after filling its only roster slot.
After this step
Tutorial Player Two is active and ready for a legal Coastal Kings bid.
8Send Tutorial Player Two to CoastalThe 50,000 opening bid completes the second one-player roster.
Opening bid
Coastal's chip records the 50,000 category base price because there is no earlier bid in this round.
Completed rosters
Tutorial Player One is assigned to Metro at 60,000 and Tutorial Player Two to Coastal at 50,000.
Readiness refresh
Check the saved sales, assignments and remaining purse. In the example, two players are sold for 110,000 in total, leaving 890,000 across the teams and no player waiting for a decision.
After this step
Tutorial Player Two is sold to Coastal Kings for 50,000. Combined spend is 110,000 and combined purse remaining is 890,000.
9Review finalization readinessCheck Ready to finalize after every required roster place is filled.
Roster readiness
Both teams contain exactly one sold player.
Saved player assignments
Check that each sold player belongs to the correct team with the correct winning price. Duplicate or invalid assignments block finalization.
Purse and winning prices
The 60,000 and 50,000 winning prices respect base, increment, max bid, and purse rules.
Finish the current round
No player or bid remains active before the permanent action.
After this step
Finalize auction is enabled for two sold, zero unsold, 110,000 spend, and 890,000 purse remaining.
10Confirm the permanent lockFinalization permanently locks the two exact team assignments.
Sold assignments
Become the tournament's locked competition roster.
Remaining eligible players
Finalizing marks any remaining eligible players unsold. Both players have already sold in this example.
Irreversible result
Completed settings, teams, assignments, and winning bids are read-only.
After this step
The finalization dialog describes a permanent lock for two sold assignments and zero unsold players.
11Verify the locked resultCheck Completed, both sold players and the remaining purse.
Final auction summary
Shows Sold 2, Unsold 0, Total spend 110,000, and Purse remaining 890,000.
Competition roster
Metro Strikers contains Tutorial Player One at 60,000 and Coastal Kings contains Tutorial Player Two at 50,000.
Completed lifecycle
The Auction Room shows Completed. Registration remains closed, and team rosters and auction results can no longer be edited.
After this step
The completed summary shows sold 2, unsold 0, total spend 110,000, purse remaining 890,000, and locked rosters.

Expected result

Tutorial Player One is sold to Metro Strikers for 60,000 and Tutorial Player Two to Coastal Kings for 50,000. Finalization permanently locks both rosters.
