How to find and register for a tournament

Find an open tournament from the player dashboard, complete all four registration steps, and submit a free registration.

In this tutorial

1Find an open tournamentStart on the Player dashboard, open Available, filter the bounded card list, and choose Register.
Player dashboard
Player-only accounts land here, and the Tournaments section is already selected for browsing and registration.
Tournament views
Choose which relationship to the tournament should be shown.
My tournaments: Shows tournaments where this player is already participating.
Available: Shows tournaments the player has not joined; this is the useful view for a new registration.
All: Combines joined and available tournaments in one result set.
Search and layout
Search matches public tournament details. Desktop keeps filters visible, while mobile collapses them; both layouts use the same bounded tournament card list.
Setup filter
Limit results by the way teams and players enter the tournament.
Registration + auction: Players submit registration details first and teams are formed later through auction; this tutorial uses this option.
Manual teams: The organizer enters teams and players directly, so a player registration form is not required.
All modes: Keeps tournaments from both setup modes in the results.
Sport and registration
Sport narrows Cricket or Football. Registration status decides whether a new form can be submitted.
Open: Eligible players can create or edit a registration before auction restrictions apply.
Closed: The registration form is unavailable or read-only, depending on prior participation.
After this step
The selected tournament opens directly on its registration form.
2Enter player detailsCheck the safe tutorial photo, identity details, date of birth, phone, and address.
Player photo
Required. This recording uses only a synthetic profile image from the isolated tutorial seed.
Selected profile photo: A saved profile photo is reused for this tournament unless the player chooses a different one.
Change photo: Accepts a JPG, PNG, or WebP under 10 MB, then opens crop and position controls before the file is attached.
Edit crop: Reopens zoom, horizontal and vertical position, and rotation controls for the selected image.
Date of birth and age
Date of birth is required and cannot be in the future. Age is calculated from it.
Saved on profile: The date is shown read-only so tournament registration cannot silently change the player's profile identity.
Not saved on profile: The player must choose a valid date here before continuing.
Mobile number
Optional for the form and read-only; it is displayed from the authenticated profile rather than typed again.
Address / Tower-flat
Required. Enter only the address detail requested for participation; the tutorial uses a synthetic value and never a real address.
After this step
The required player identity fields are complete and the Kit and participation step opens.
3Choose kit and categoryEnter the T-shirt print details, size, and the organizer's auction category.
T-shirt print
Both the printed name and number are required. They are kit instructions and do not replace the player's account identity.
T-shirt size
Choose a standard size or provide a tournament-specific custom size.
S to XXL: Uses one of the five preset sizes supplied by the form.
Custom: Enables a required text box for a size not covered by the presets.
Skill / auction category
Required. This seeded Cricket tournament offers the three organizer-configured categories below, and the selected value is used for registration and auction grouping.
Batter: Choose when batting is the player's primary Cricket role.
Bowler: Choose when bowling is the player's primary Cricket role.
All-rounder: Choose for a balanced batting and bowling role; this is the tutorial choice.
Football categories
For a Football tournament, the same field lists the organizer's configured Football categories instead of these Cricket examples.
After this step
The kit details and a valid auction category are selected.
4Confirm availability and consentChoose full availability or unavailable dates, set email preference, and accept the participation disclaimer.
Date non-availability
Required. Choose one clear availability mode before continuing.
Fully available: Records that the player can attend throughout the tournament; this tutorial uses it.
Choose unavailable dates: Adds each date the player cannot attend. Dates must be inside the tournament schedule and cannot be duplicated or in the past.
Keep saved note: Appears only for an older registration with a legacy free-text availability note and preserves it unchanged.
Email confirmation
Optional. When enabled, the app tries to send a registration confirmation to a configured and verified profile email; it does not change whether the registration itself is valid.
Participation disclaimer
Required. Accept only after reading the tournament participation statement; the form cannot continue without this consent.
After this step
Availability is recorded, optional email is disabled, and required participation consent is accepted.
5Review and submitCheck every player, kit, availability, consent, and payment detail before submitting.
Player details review
Check the player name, synthetic date of birth and age, synthetic contact details, address, and that the photo is ready.
Kit and participation review
Check the printed name and number, size, auction category, availability, email preference, and accepted disclaimer.
Payment result
The organizer has configured this tutorial tournament as free.
No online payment: Submit Registration saves the form directly and does not request any payment data; this is the current flow.
Optional payment: A configured fee may be shown, but normal registration can still be submitted without paying.
Mandatory payment: A different tournament may require verified Razorpay payment before registration is saved; never enter real payment data in a tutorial recording.
Back and submit
Back returns to the prior step without clearing entered details. Submit Registration runs validation again and saves only after the server action succeeds.
After this step
The complete free registration is reviewed and submitted without opening a payment flow.
6Registration savedThe tournament overview confirms the free registration remains saved.
Successful result
Registration saved means the server mutation completed and the tournament now recognises this player as registered.
Later updates
A registered player can reopen the form and update allowed details while registration is open and the auction has not moved beyond its editable setup state.
After this step
The tournament overview persistently identifies the player as registered.

Expected result

The free player registration is saved and the tournament overview confirms success.
