How to configure device notifications

Set notification categories and in-app sound, check this device, and resolve required Push setup.

1Open Push notifications in Notification centerChoose the top-bar bell, choose View all, then expand Push notifications.
Find settings
Push settings live inside Notification center. They are available from the top bar on signed-in pages, including profile and either sport's workspaces.
Read the summary
The summary can show Not enabled, Checking, Unavailable, Needs attention, Paused, Active on this device, or an active device count. Expand it to see the reason and next action.
Wait for loading
Allow the current device and preferences to load. Keep the dialog open until the status is resolved before changing a setting.

Choose the top-bar bell, choose View all, then expand Push notifications.
2Choose whether in-app banners play a soundUse In-app alert sound to turn the brief foreground notification cue on or off.
Sound controls
This preference is for notification banners while Sports Fantasy is open.
On — Enable the switch if you want a short cue with an in-app notification banner. Interacting with the control allows the browser to start audio.
Off — Disable the switch for silent in-app banners. The banners and inbox remain available.
Lock-screen sound — Use the device's browser and operating-system notification settings to manage background or lock-screen sounds. The in-app sound switch does not change those settings.
Preference not retained — If browser storage is unavailable, the switch may not retain a change. Check the displayed switch state after returning to settings.

3Choose the Push categories you wantWhen Push is enabled with an active device, use Product categories to enable or disable each category.
Product categories
Switch each available category according to the alerts you want. These controls change category preferences, not the contents of notification history.
Account / security — Account and security updates.
Support — Updates about support requests and replies.
Registrations — Tournament registration updates.
Tournament results — Tournament result updates.
Auctions — Auction activity updates.
Matches — Match-related alerts.
Performance milestones — Notable player performance updates.
PlayerCircle — PlayerCircle activity.
PlayerCast — PlayerCast updates.
Rivalry Arena — Rivalry activity.
Broadcaster access — Broadcast access and assignment updates.
Scorer access — Scorer access and assignment updates.
Scoring updates — Scoring activity alerts.
Fantasy — Fantasy activity updates.
Save and availability
Each switch saves when changed. Wait for Saving to finish, then check its state. A service error can prevent the change from being saved. The switches are unavailable while settings are busy or unsupported, and the category section appears only when Push is active on at least one device.
Platform activity
This additional category is visible only to Super Admin. It is not an ordinary player, organizer, scorer, or broadcaster preference.

When Push is enabled with an active device, use Product categories to enable or disable each category.
4Check the status for this deviceRead This device and its active-device count before enabling another browser.
Device states
An active subscription on another device does not automatically register this browser.
Enable on this device — When available, choose this to register the current browser and allow the browser permission prompt. Wait for verification and check that Required on this device appears.
Required on this device — This browser is already registered. There is no disable-this-device control in this section because Push access is required.
Active on another device — Register the current browser separately if it is not yet subscribed. The active-device count summarizes registrations across the account.
Paused — A device may remain registered while account delivery is paused. Resume it from the required setup screen.
Notifications blocked — Allow notifications for Sports Fantasy in the browser's site settings, then return and check again.
iPhone or iPad — Add Sports Fantasy to the Home Screen and open the installed app before trying to enable Push.
Unavailable browser or service — Read whether browser support or service configuration is missing. The control is disabled when setup cannot proceed. The required setup screen may need resolution before the workspace opens.
Required Push delivery
When devices exist, this status shows whether delivery is active across the account. This is a status display, not an account-wide off switch.

5Complete Notification access required when promptedIf the required setup dialog appears after sign-in, follow its specific next action before opening the workspace.
Normal setup and recovery
The dialog cannot be dismissed to skip required access.
Enable notifications — Choose it to start the browser permission request. Allow notifications and wait while the app verifies the subscription and links it to the current account.
Resume notifications — When this device is registered but delivery is paused, choose Resume notifications to restore required account delivery.
I've allowed notifications - check again — When notifications were blocked, first allow them in the browser or operating-system settings for Sports Fantasy, then choose this action.
View installation steps — On iPhone or iPad, open the installation instructions, add Sports Fantasy to the Home Screen, close the browser tab, and open the app icon.
Check compatibility again — Update the browser or operating system, or use a supported device, then check again. The setup message requires iOS 16.4 or later on iPhone and iPad.
Retry configuration check — When the service is not configured, retry after the service issue is resolved. This is not a category preference you can change yourself.
Check completion
Wait through Checking this device. A browser permission grant alone is not proof that the app's device subscription has been saved and verified.

If the required setup dialog appears after sign-in, follow its specific next action before opening the workspace.
6Resolve device limits and verification failuresUse the recovery action that matches the message on the required setup screen.
Recovery options
Read the effect of the action before continuing.
Replace oldest device and continue — At the limit of 20 active notification devices, this replaces the oldest registered device and disables Push delivery on that old device. Continue only if that is the result you intend.
Try device verification again — When device changes are temporarily limited, wait before retrying. Repeated attempts do not bypass the limit.
Retry notification check — For a notification-service verification failure, check the internet connection and retry.
Retry notifications banner — A temporary unavailable-verification banner can explicitly let you keep using the app. Use Retry notifications when ready. This differs from the blocking required setup dialog.
Expired session or unavailable account — Use Logout, sign in again, and contact support if the account remains unavailable.
Logout — If setup cannot be completed on this device, use Logout to sign out safely instead of leaving the required dialog unattended.
Settings error
Inside Push notifications, use Retry loading Push notification settings when the error control appears. Wait for Retrying to finish and check the refreshed state.
After this step
Use the recovery action that matches the message on the required setup screen.
7Review what appears in notification previewsDevice previews use limited information, and the signed-in inbox provides the fuller details.
Preview privacy
Your device controls what appears on its lock screen.
Sports and operational alerts — Player, tournament, team, or match details may appear in eligible previews.
Match and PlayerCast photos — These previews may use an approved player photo.
PlayerCircle and Rivalry Arena — These previews use initials.
Private details — Support, payment, account, and private Fantasy details stay generic until you open the signed-in notification center.
Foreground banners — Use Open details to open an alert or Dismiss notification banner to close its banner. The in-app sound preference controls only the brief cue for these banners.
Finish
Close Notification center to return to your activity. Return to these settings after changing devices or browser permissions to check the current status.
After this step
Device previews use limited information, and the signed-in inbox provides the fuller details.
