How to configure auction settings

Configure auction capacity, team wallets, category rules, prices, and quotas while understanding how every choice affects readiness and bidding.

1Open Auction SettingsFind the prepared tournament on the Organizer dashboard, open Manage, and choose Auction settings.
Search tournaments
Find your tournament by name and check that you have opened the correct auction setup.
Manage
Opens grouped actions for the selected tournament.
Auction settings
Opens capacity, format, category, quota, and team configuration for this tournament.
Mobile navigation
Use the visible Search tournaments field. The same Manage and Auction actions remain available in the compact menu.

The prepared tournament's Auction Settings form opens from the Organizer dashboard.
2Set capacity and walletTeam count and squad size determine the minimum eligible registrations.
Teams
Sets the exact auction-team count. Saving creates missing default rows and removes only excess unassigned teams. Reducing the count is blocked when a removed team has assigned players or Match Center fixtures.
Minimum required
This read-only calculation multiplies Teams by Total players per team. Moving to auction requires at least this many eligible registrations.
Total players per team
Sets the final roster size for each team. Remaining slots reflect the players already assigned to that team.
Wallet amount
Saving applies this purse to every synchronized team and derives a default maximum bid. The wallet must still reserve enough money to fill every required roster slot.
Responsive layout
Desktop shows the capacity fields in one row. Mobile keeps the same values in a compact grid and preserves the wizard actions.

Two teams, two players per team, a four-player minimum, and a five-lakh wallet are shown.
3Choose the selection ruleClosed multiple enforces a fixed quota from both configured categories.
Category selection rule
The rule changes which category combinations are legal during bidding and which roster checks must pass before finalization.
Open - one category — Requires exactly one tournament category and fills the full roster from that pool.
Open - multiple categories — Keeps two or more categories but permits any category mix within the overall roster limit.
Closed - multiple categories — Requires a positive quota for every category, with all quotas totaling the team size.
Category source
Category names and count come from Edit Tournament. Auction Settings controls prices, increments, and quotas without renaming them.
Responsive layout
Desktop places the three rules side by side. Mobile stacks the full choice cards so every consequence remains readable.

Closed - multiple categories is selected for the two configured tournament categories.
4Set category pricesBatter and Bowler share the same opening price and bid increment.
Category names
Batter and Bowler are read-only here because registrations already use those tournament categories.
Base price
The first legal bid for a player in that category. It must be positive and affordable within every team's purse and maximum bid.
Minimum bid increment
The exact amount added after the opening bid whenever another valid bid is placed.
Affordability
The server blocks settings or team purses that cannot fund a complete legal roster at configured minimum prices.
Responsive layout
Desktop presents each category in one row. Mobile puts the read-only name across both columns and keeps price, increment, and quota fields in a compact grid.
After this step
Batter and Bowler each have a fifty-thousand base price and ten-thousand minimum increment.
5Balance category quotasOne Batter and one Bowler exactly fill each two-player roster.
Required players per team
Every closed-auction category needs a positive quota, enforced during bidding and finalization.
Quota total
All category quotas must add up exactly to Total players per team before settings can be saved.
Category readiness
Each pool needs Teams multiplied by that category's quota in eligible registrations.
Open-format difference
Open formats replace editable category quotas with the overall team player limit.
After this step
Each category requires one player per team, and the quota summary reads two of two allocated.
6Review the complete setupCheck capacity, purse, rule, registrations, prices, and quotas together.
Review cards
Summarize capacity, wallet, selection rule, category quotas, and eligible-registration readiness.
Save Auction Settings
Persists the validated rules and synchronizes exactly two default team rows without starting the auction.
Default team identities
With no existing teams, the server creates Team 1 / T1 and Team 2 / T2 with no verified owner selected for later editing.
Add / Edit Teams
Opens the separate editor for the synchronized team rows so identities, owners, and purse limits can be reviewed or replaced.
Responsive layout
Desktop shows all review cards in one row. Mobile uses two columns, wraps category badges, and keeps the save action reachable.
After this step
The review shows two teams, two players each, a five-lakh wallet, and the closed Batter and Bowler rule.
7Save without lockingSave the rules and create the exact default teams while remaining in setup.
Successful save
Wait for the saved confirmation, then check the settings and required team count on the updated page.
Synchronized defaults
Both default teams await verified owner selection and receive the saved 500,000 wallet, derived 150,000 maximum bid, zero selected players, and two remaining roster slots.
Lifecycle remains open
Saving settings leaves registration open and auction status in setup. Move to Auction performs separate readiness checks and confirmation.
Delete Auction Settings
This destructive reset removes auction rules, teams, and assigned auction players while preserving tournament registrations and user profiles. Protected auction activity blocks it.
Move to Auction
Requires the exact team count, affordable purses, four eligible registrations, two players in each closed category, and clean roster and live state before closing registration.
After this step
The saved setup reloads with Team 1 / T1 / Owner 1 and Team 2 / T2 / Owner 2, each at 500,000 total amount, 150,000 maximum bid, zero selected, and two remaining.

Expected result

A two-team, two-player-per-team closed auction is saved for Batter and Bowler, with a five-lakh wallet and one player from each category required per team.
