How to add auction teams and owners

Create the configured auction teams, add exact identities and owners, verify purse limits and server-derived roster counters, and save every team together.

In this tutorial

1Open the auction team setupFind the prepared tournament on the Organizer dashboard, open Manage, and choose Auction settings.
Search tournaments
Use the prepared tournament name to isolate the exact synthetic tutorial record.
Manage
Opens grouped actions for the selected tournament.
Auction settings
Contains Add / Edit Teams after auction capacity and purse rules have been saved.
Mobile navigation
Open Search & filters first; the compact Manage menu exposes the same Auction action.
After this step
The prepared tournament's Auction Settings page opens from the Organizer dashboard.
2Open the team editorA saved two-team setup generates two empty drafts when no team records exist.
Generated drafts
Their count comes from Auction Settings. Saving fewer or more rows than the configured count is rejected.
Desktop layout
The team list remains beside the selected four-step editor.
Mobile layout
Selecting a card opens a nested bottom sheet; closing it returns to the retained draft list.
Save scope
Save All Teams validates and persists both drafts together.
After this step
Two generated team drafts are visible without any pre-existing team records.
3Name the first teamReplace the generated identity with Coastal Kings and CK.
Team name
Required public identity used in bidding controls, rosters, fixtures, and summaries.
Short name
Required compact identity that must be unique even when letter case is ignored.
After this step
The first draft is named Coastal Kings with short name CK.
4Add the first ownerOwner name is required; description is optional and media stays empty.
Owner name
Required for every auction team and shown with the team in organizer views.
Owner details
Optional context saved with the owner profile; it does not affect bidding.
Owner media
Optional private JPG, PNG, or WebP. This deterministic tutorial leaves it empty.
After this step
Maya Rao and Community sports sponsor are entered, with no owner photo selected.
5Confirm the first purseSet the wallet and maximum bid, then verify the derived empty roster.
Wallet and maximum bid
Both must be positive and affordable; maximum bid cannot exceed wallet or fall below the legal opening price.
Selected and remaining
The server derives these counters from assignments and configured team size.
After this step
Coastal Kings has a 500,000 wallet, 150,000 maximum bid, zero selected players, and one remaining slot.
6Review the first teamReview Coastal Kings while both drafts remain unsaved.
Shared draft state
Switching cards retains the first team's unsaved values inside the parent editor.
All-team validation
The final submission checks both team rows together for completeness and uniqueness.
After this step
The Coastal Kings draft is complete and remains available in the shared editor.
7Name the second teamSwitch drafts and enter Metro Strikers with MS.
Desktop switch
The two-pane editor changes the active card without closing the shared sheet.
Mobile switch
Close team details to return to the retained list, then open Team 2.
Unique identity
Metro Strikers and MS must differ from Coastal Kings and CK.
After this step
The second draft is named Metro Strikers with short name MS.
8Add the second ownerComplete Arjun Mehta's owner details and leave media empty.
Required owner
Every generated team must have a non-empty owner name.
Optional profile fields
Description may be supplied independently while owner media remains empty.
After this step
Arjun Mehta and Local business owner are entered, with no owner photo selected.
9Confirm the second purseUse the same valid limits and verify the second empty roster.
Independent purse limits
Wallet and maximum bid are stored per team and validated against the auction's minimum prices.
Derived roster state
A new team with no assignments saves as zero selected and one remaining.
After this step
Metro Strikers has a 500,000 wallet, 150,000 maximum bid, zero selected players, and one remaining slot.
10Review and save both teamsOne submission validates and saves the complete two-team set.
Save All Teams
Persists every displayed draft together; incomplete, duplicate, or unaffordable teams prevent the transaction.
Saved values
Coastal Kings / CK / Maya Rao and Metro Strikers / MS / Arjun Mehta each save with a 500,000 wallet, 150,000 max bid, null photo, zero selected, and one remaining.
After this step
Both complete team drafts are submitted as one validated save.
11Verify the saved teamsReopen the editor after the success confirmation and verify both persisted team records.
Success URL
The dialog_completed and teams_created query state confirms that the complete team transaction returned successfully.
Persisted values
Reopening the editor reads both saved team records and server-derived roster counters from the database.
Lifecycle state
Team creation does not start the auction; the tournament remains editable in setup.
After this step
Both persisted teams reopen with the exact identities, owner details, empty media, purse limits, and empty one-slot roster counters.

Expected result

Coastal Kings and Metro Strikers are saved with their required owners, descriptions, empty photos, 500,000 wallets, 150,000 maximum bids, and server-derived empty one-slot rosters.
